Go to sleep early or watch another TV show?  Skip breakfast or whip up a quick smoothie in the blender before work?  Drive above the speed limit or drive below the speed limit?  Be prepared for the workday with fruit and veggies for snacks or hit up the vending machine for a Pepsi and some kettle cooked chips?  Swing by the gym for a quick sweat session on your way home from work or skip it?

Life = choices … Plain and simple.  We have thousands of options and we chose one.  That one choice can either make or break your day, relationships, or health!  I came to this realization a few weeks ago.  I have all of this knowledge from school, friends, and personal experiences.  Great!  Knowledge is good, but the beauty of knowledge is what you are physically going to do with it.

Most people would call this taking action.  I want to encourage you to take action today. Make an effort to become more physically active.  Be prepared when it comes to the food you fuel your body with and make it as pure and natural as possible.  Call your grandpa and chat for a few minutes – It will make his day =)

One of my clients asked me if I workout on my own time.  She was shocked to hear that I complete vigorous workouts that challenge my fitness levels on a daily basis.  ”How do you find time?” she asked.  ”I make time!  It is a choice I make to not only myself, but my family.  Plus, I can’t stand here and tell you to complete workouts if I am not doing the same.” was my response.

Are there days when my head is telling me to eat cookies and cheese curls instead of the usual avocado and banana?  Of course!  Sometimes days come when the last thing I want is to sweat and do push ups.  But you ultimately have the choice to take action on those thoughts.  I have learned to sift through the negative and more times than not, choosing the positive leaves you feeling confident and happy!  More people regret what they didn’t do rather than what they actually did – The power of taking action!!

My challenge to you is to focus on the choices you are making through out your day and evaluate them.  Are they kind?  Healthy?  Positive?  Productive?  Remember that you have control =)
